Richard graduated with honors from the University of Illinois and then from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he was elected Associate Editor of the school’s Law Review. Then he worked at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, Georgia before coming the Bay Area. First working at the Oakland firm of Filice Brown Eassa & McLeod LLP where he rose to partner and at the international AmLaw 100 firm of King & Spalding LLP in San Francisco, Richard returned to the East Bay where he now works with local businesses in transactional and litigation matters. He is a currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Alameda Chamber of Commerce and the Executive Committee for the Alameda County Bar Association’s Business Law Section.
